Dr. Petersen is Board Certified in internal medicine and in rheumatology. She is a rheumatologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic and arthritic conditions with an emphasis in rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.

Dr. Petersen graduated from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine and completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She also completed a fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Iowa.
